Director

I am blessed to serve as the school director after having served in education with young children for over 20 years in the Albuquerque Public School system. I grew up in Santa Fe, NM and have lived in Albuquerque for 40 years. I became a member of Faith Lutheran Church 10 years ago and love to hear my daughter Anna Gear and her husband Brady sing in our church band. I love spending time with my grandchildren, Hunter and Harper. I will strive to keep Children of Faith a quality Christian preschool and live out our mission to lead children to Christ.

4’s & 5’s PreK (M-F)

I was blessed to start working with Children of Faith preschool in May 2024 after more than ten years of teaching grades K-3 in elementary Schools around New Mexico. My dad was in the Air Force so my family lived in many places before settling in New Mexico more than 20 years ago. We joined Faith Lutheran Church about the same time. I spend my free time by doing puzzles, reading, quilting, and spending time with my family. My goal is to help every child that comes into my life, regardless of how that event happens, to become a happy, well-rounded, and responsible Christian who will make our world a better place to live.

I am a highly enthusiastic preschool teacher with a passion for nurturing young minds as well helping them grow with the Lord. I have over 10 years of experience working with children in various educational settings.

Hello! My name is Janet Johnson, and I began teaching young children when my daughter's preschool invited me to join their teaching staff. What a blessing it was to be able to teach preschool right where my daughter went to school! It has given me great joy to have worked as a preschool teacher for almost 20 years now. I am excited to be part of the team at Faith, and to bring the word of the Lord to the children.

I'm Saranya Manoharan, and I'm passionate about fostering children's growth and development. With a master’s degree in Engineering, I bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills to creating engaging learning experiences. Since 2021, I've been working with children from the COF family, where I've gained valuable experience in nurturing their skills and witnessing their positive progress. I'm eager to use my dedication and experience to make a meaningful impact on children's lives.

Hi, my name is Shahina Naz. I have been at this church for about one and a half years. My favorite thing to do is to be with my family and the kids at the preschool. I also work at the church with my friends. I was also an RN nurse in Pakistan before coming to the United States. 🇺🇸 I love to work with everyone at the preschool and the church.

My name is Leticia Tavarez and I am currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work. I enjoy working on emotional development and encouraging children’s exploration. I began working with children in 2018 and have continued to do so in many different avenues. I look forward to being a part in your children’s walk with God!

Hello! My name is Annamarie Portillo, and I have loved being apart of the Children of Faith Preschool family. I’m currently finishing my bachelor's degree in elementary education and I have been with Children of Faith since last December. I absolutely love teaching your children and watching them grow and learn. It's such a joy to be part of their educational journey, and I look forward to all the fun and learning we’ll continue to share together!
