LENTEN BIBLE STUDY
Wednesdays, 6:30-8pm on Feb. 25 and March 4, 11, 18, and 25. Led by Pastor Jerry.
We will be working through a brand-new Lenten devotional by Dr. Christopher Richmann. Stretched: A Study for Lent and the Entire Christian Life is a Scripture-centered Lent study that helps you engage Lent’s core themes—death, fasting, temptation, repentance, and piety—and carry their meaning into everyday Christian life.

This four-session class explored the ways in which our country’s founders employed Christian teachings as they composed “The Declaration of Independence” and the “Constitution of the United States.” In our time, the idea that God and God’s Word guided our nation’s founders has become controversial. We’ll rediscover the founders’ inspiration and intent.

Often the Kingdom of God is thought of strictly as something to come in the End Times or as we go to Heaven. Jesus taught a fuller meaning of the Kingdom of God, not only as something to come, but also something in the here and now. This class examines how the Old Testament prophecies, Jesus' life, teachings, and sacrifice, on through to the writings of Luther and later commentators relate to our understanding of God's Kingdom.
